New York Enterprise Report (April 22, 2009) - Many business owners don't regularly evaluate how they operate as a means of consistently attaining competitive advantages. This frequently causes organizations to get stuck at various plateaus, or worse. One way to avoid this common problem is to create a management system where internal procedures are inventoried to determine which processes are subjective and can be left to each individual to address in his or her way, and which processes must always be performed uniformly throughout the company. The former require step-by-step consistency, the latter resourcefulness, initiative and often imagination.
