I just discovered an interesting article series that Intelligent Enterprise magazine is running on innovation management, and how several emerging types of software can be used to help catalyze and manage innovation in your organization. Here are links to the first two articles, along with a synopsis of each one:
Let Innovation Thrive: In this article, the author explores the definition of innovation, the value of innovation to businesses today, and five business processes that are fundamental to innovation management (roadmapping, scanning, collaborating, sparking ideas and shepherding innovation projects).
Practical Tools For New Ideas: Author Stuart McKie drills down into each of the five fundamental areas of innovation management that he identified in part one, and highlights software tools that can help your company to enhance its efforts in each of these areas. Of particular interest are software tools designed to enhance strategic roadmapping, and an overview of enterprise idea management software.
Both articles include valuable lists of resources and Web sites, which I highly recommend you take a look at.
The third and final article in this series, which has not been published as of this posting, will focus on software solutions for product development. |
