According to Jeff de Cagna, the case for innovation cannot be made solely on the basis of the economic value it creates for customers. It is equally important for enterprises and their leaders to embrace the underlying core values of innovation.
Jeff makes this statement in a proposal on the ChangeThis website, a repository of thought-provoking articles called "manifestos." ChangeThis encourages writers to submit proposals, which are then voted on by visitors to the site. If a proposal receives a large number of votes, its author knows that there is a groundswell of support for it to be expanded into a manifesto. If you've never visited this site, I strongly recommend that you do so - there are some excellent articles here!
I encourage you to read Jeff's proposal. If you'd like to see him write a manifesto about this topic, please click on the "Yes, write this manifesto" button. I'm a fan of Jeff's work, and I look forward to reading more about the underlying core values of innovation! |
